Wavecontrol Discontinues First SMP EMF Meter Model

Discontinued Wavecontrol SMP1

Wavecontrol is saying goodbye to the original SMP EMF meter model. Starting October 17th, 2024, it will no longer provide service or support for this model.

After over ten years of success with the SMP and its successor, the SMP2, Wavecontrol has rolled out their newest product, the SMP3.

The SMP3 has been designed as a 3-in-1 meter, with Static field measurement, Spectrum analysis & Broadband field. It combines all the best features of the earlier models while adding some exciting new capabilities.

One of its key features is the Weighted Peak Method, which allows for accurate measurements up to 10 MHz (previous model, the SMP2 goes up to 400Khz). This ensures it meets ICNIRP 2010 and other global standards for low-frequency fields that can cause electrostimulation effects.

Additionally, the SMP3 fills a significant frequency gap that many other existing products miss. With its advanced design and innovative SMP3-Streamer software, it enables users to test EMF exposure in line with the latest automotive standards, making it a must-have for professionals across industries including telecommunications, railway, medical and more.

If you’re still using the original SMP model, we highly recommend upgrading to the SMP3. You’ll get to experience the improved performance and advanced features that will change the way you measure electromagnetic fields.
