SARAD
The DOSEman PRO is a specialized dosimeter designed to measure radon daughter products, which are radioactive decay products of radon gas.

Alpha Decay Detection:
- Radon gas decays into a series of short-lived radioactive progeny, including isotopes like polonium-218, lead-214, bismuth-214, and polonium-214.
- These progeny emit alpha particles during their decay process, which can be detected and measured.

Potential Alpha Energy Concentration (PAEC):
- PAEC is a measure of the total alpha energy released by radon progeny in a given volume of air. It is expressed in units of Working Level (WL) or derived units like nJ/m³.
- PAEC is crucial for assessing the health risk from inhaling radon progeny, as alpha particles can damage lung tissue.

Air Sampling and Filtration:
- The device samples air and collects radon progeny on a filter.
- By drawing a known volume of air through the filter, the concentration of progeny can be determined.
